地下地上空中の平屋 Underground-Ground-Air House

＜眺望と斜面地がつくる多種多様な室内空間＞

眺望に開かれた広々とした斜面地を含む敷地の、高台の細長い平地部分に建つ見晴らしの良い家です。家のさまざまな場所から異なる景色を楽しめることと、斜面地に秘密基地のような地下室を、との要望でした。

細長い平地の南斜面に面して建物を細長く配し、家のすべての場所が眺望に向かうようにしました。さらに平地の形状に合わせて建物も少し「くの字」に折り曲げ、異なる2つの角度から景色が楽しめるようにしています。

平地に収まりきらなかった面積は、斜面に半地下の寝室と、空中に持ち出した和室に少しずつ割り当てました。平屋なのに地上から隔たった地下と空中にも部屋があるのは、斜面地ならではの建ち方です。

地下/地上/空中というのは、少し大げさに言うと、地球があることによって生じる３つの根本的な空間の質の違いとも言えます。その３つのスペースが斜面と眺望とのつながり方を異なるかたちで反映することで、それぞれのインテリア空間の質を引き出せるように、窓と室内空間の関係を意識し計画しました。

<A wide variety of indoor spaces created by views and slopes>

This is a house with a great view, built on a long, narrow, flat area on a hill, on a site that includes a spacious slope that opens out to the view. They wanted different views to be enjoyed from different parts of the house, and a basement on a slope that would look like a secret base. The building was arranged in a long and narrow area facing the southern slope of a long, flat area, so that all parts of the house faced the view. Furthermore, the building is slightly bent in a dogleg shape to match the shape of the flat land, allowing the view to be enjoyed from two different angles. The area that could not be accommodated on the flat land was gradually allocated to a semi-underground bedroom on a slope and a Japanese-style room raised into the air. Even though it is a one-story building, there are rooms both underground and in the air, which are separated from the ground, which is unique to the way it is built on a slope. To put it a little exaggeratedly, underground/above ground/aerial can be said to be the three fundamental differences in the quality of space that occur due to the existence of the earth. By reflecting the connection between the slope and the view in different ways, the three spaces were designed with consideration to the relationship between the windows and the interior space, so that the quality of each interior space could be brought out.
